This is a perfect YA read I mean there is no bad language, no sex. Just a good ol' story line with a teen crush that is almost like Twilight in a way. Seeing as how there is a vampire, werewolf and a girl.
Rai-Rai's (also known as Aradia) parents found her and ended up adopting her. Early on that realized she was different from all the other children her age. She has powers and abilities that no one else has. When Aradia and her family move to Salem things become almost unreal. There is a "hidden" race that lives with the humans and most of them live all in Salem. While living in Salem there is a murder dubbed the "Vampire Murderer" and Aradia's father is there to try and solve the crime. With Aradia's help they figure out who is committing the crimes but will it be too late for Aradia?
With this going on Aradia does not know she is of the hidden race until towards the end. Even then she is still not sure about it all. The ending does have it where you are going to want to read more as you want to know well is she going to be hunted? Will her powers grow? What about the relationship she has with Dax? This is one book you are going to want to get your hands on.
