Jay catches Lacie Joe in various capers caring for Judge and roaming about town, fanning the flame of their lost romance. Suddenly, Lacie Joe’s work is turned completely upside down- the grant for her job is going to end unless the nonprofit can come up with a unique plan with clear results working with their at risk teens.
Lacie Joe turns to Jay for help with Judge and saving her job. Working at the old stable she was accused of burning down, Lacie Joe, Judge, and a teenager with her last chance of staying out of trouble, repair the run down stables in a bid to pitch a teen rehabilitation project to a grant funder. The rest of the novel solves old mysteries, accusations, and cures broken hearts.
I totally adored Jay and Lacie Joe. Their romance flowed easy and was fun. Lacie trying to care for her foster father, Judge, was even sweeter. The end was an excellent happily ever after for anyone who needs a light romance.
