I've been rather impatient waiting for the release of Declaration. I loved the first two books in the series as well as the companion novel, Love & Relativity. Preservation was actually one of the 1st book reviews that I wrote when I started blogging. Carter always made me laugh and I was glad to see he would be getting his own book. I hate comparing books in the series, especially when it comes to a different character getting their own story. I didn't love this one as much as the first two. That doesn't mean I didn't enjoy it. I love Carter and his character cracks me up. I'm kind of indifferent about Whitney. I didn't really connect with her character like I thought I would. Carter stole the show in this one for me. It reminded me of a "nice guys finish last" kinda story and I'm so glad he finally gets what her deserves. Oh, and that epilogue? Stole my frickin heart. I was just bursting at the seams with joy.
