Dark Promise by Julia Crane and Talia Jager is an amazing book, filled with imagery and excitement. Imagine, if you will, growing up truly believing you are a normal teenage girl and on your 16th birthday your whole life changes. That is what happens to our main character Rylie, her whole life gets twisted into his amazing fairytale, filled with light and dark fairies. I couldn't put this book down. With each turn of the page, the authors managed to peak my interest with every descriptive line. I could imagine in my mind what each scene and character looked and felt like. I only wish the end didn't leave, so many questions unanswered, but I guess the authors decided to leave it open to peak the interests of the readers, so we would read the next book in the series. I know I'm going to read the next book, Broken Promise, in the series. If you love all things Fay you may want to take the time and read this book. The descriptions on each page makes you feel like you are right there with Rylie, going through the adventures and emotions she is experiencing. I give this book 4 out of 5 stars and 2 thumbs up!
