My name is Damian Valdis Vesik. I am a necromancer, an ability feared and hated as much as the powers my master and I set ourselves against. We've vanquished many evils, but now something is releasing a new evil, forcing us to hunt an enemy beyond anything I’ve faced before. I was already busy enough with vampires, fairies, witches, Watchers, weddings, and … damn, I need a vacation

I keep flip flopping between rating this book a 3.5 of 4 star. Don't get me wrong, the book was definitely interesting. It had a storyline that was full of all sorts of paranormal beings and mystery. I think my problem with it was that there was a lot to process...there was a lot going on. You have vampires, demons, cu siths, fae and necromancers. There was a lot of background on the Fae but not much on the vampires. Yes, there was a history there but I just wanted more. I still can't even pinpoint what it is that I didn't like about it. Maybe my head just wasn't in it. The ending was a bit disappointing to me. I was expecting a wow factor and it just didn't deliver. I almost want to say it was predictable. The book could use a good edit to make the story flow better.
I do love Damian, though. We could totally hang and eat Annie Anne's cinnamon sugar pretzels while sipping Frappacino's. He brings just the right amount of humor without being a total jackass. The action scenes were great but not for people who don't like gore. Me, I love gore...the more the better. I would recommend it to anyone that is into paranormal.
