During the 1980s, slashers terrorized America. With machetes and masks, these unstoppable killers stalked college campuses, quiet suburbs, and lakeside cabins.
Thirty years ago, Bobbi Metzger survived a massacre at her 16th birthday party. She spent decades putting her life back together.
Tonight, Bobbi will face a new killer: a high-tech slasher hell-bent on opening the doorway to an abyss of unimaginable horror.
How long can Bobbi survive this nightmare? What will she do to protect the people she loves? How much blood is she willing to spill?

WHAT did I just read? Oh man this book was freaking perfect for me. I loved all the gore and killings and how nothing was held back. We are introduced to different characters but they all have something in common. You see Bobbi thirty years ago came across a serial killer yet this serial killer was not alive. Bobbi has spent her life running and trying to find a way to finally kill the serial killer who killed her friends so long ago.
Jessie he has had his own serial killer incident and he is now a recluse he doesn't like mirrors or cell phones he lives a simple yet paranoid life because he know one day the killer will come for him. He spends his days writing books and getting letters from people all over the world who have dealt with a killer who has come back from the grave.
Sam he is a school counselor and he is in the same boat as Jessie and Bobbi. Though he ends up taking it above and beyond because he doesn't think clearly towards the end.
Then in comes Cris has had a horrible childhood and will set out with a goal to become something even more than anyone thinks. She has everyone fooled and when I got to the end I was sitting there going OMG there goes the world. She finally did what she set out to do.
It was just crazy how much killing went on through out the book but I found myself devouring the story. I literally did not want to put my kindle down to get anything done and this is the night before Thanksgiving.
I think the author did a great job with the characters and putting them in the situations he did. I love how no matter how scared they might have been they did not give up on trying to find a way to end these killers.
I like the way this author's mind works and I hope to read more if they are just like this!
