When I started the book I didn’t think it would go the way it would. At first I was going okay where is this going to go. Then as I continued I saw the route it was going and I was like oh wow, didn’t think it was going like that.
There is talk of rape within the book just so the reader can beware. We are in first person with Ollie who is a sociopath and is spoiled by his grandmother. It is given to us pretty early on in the story that something is up with Ollie and of course it just gets worse.
The one person who has taken care of him, knows of his dark deeds and he will pay a price unlike no other. I have to say I really enjoyed the ending and how it came about. I mean we all know karma is a —–, and Ollie will get paid back for what he has done.
The author did a decent job with descriptions especially when it came to the bathroom scene and the head! It had me going oh wow. I will be reading more from this author in the future to see what other stories he has for us!-Autumn
Matt McAvoy was born in Hertfordshire in 1974. As a child he attended the Torquay Grammar School for Boys and started writing fiction at an early age.
He has studied screen-writing and production, psychology, social policy and criminology, and has written several short stories, novels and screenplays, including “Kill the Witch!” and the critically acclaimed “Granjy’s Eyes”.
