In this short novella we are introduced to the character Shona she is just a normal character who is dealing with problems just life everyone else. She is dealing with her business she started up and trying to keep a float, things happened between her and her fiancee, it just seems the end of the world for Shona as she doesn’t know what else to do. When one decision to buy a lottery ticket it sets a chain reaction. Shona learns who are real friends are and who are there just to get something from her. Shona learns that she can get a second chance at life if she goes for it. When she goes to a psychic shop to read about her future she learns she only has so long to live. Well of course that freaks her out heck who wouldn’t be freaked out to get a reading like that. What happens next you have to find out. The plot is very simple at times things with Shona felt rushed but you have to fit so much into a short book like this one so it is to be expected.
