Only sunlight can save us.
We built the wall to keep them out, to keep us safe. But it also makes us prisoners, trapped in what's left of our ravaged city, fearing nightfall.
After the death of my parents, it's up to me--as the newest delegate for humanity--to bargain with our vampire overlord. I thought I was ready. I thought I knew everything there was to know about the monsters. Then again, nothing could have prepared me for Lord Valentine . . . or his son. Maybe not all vampires are killers. Maybe it's safe to let one in.
Only one thing is certain: Even the wall is not enough. A war is coming and we cannot hide forever.
My Review
Truly loved this book...I have been waiting to read another vampire novel...due to the fact that I was a little worn out..but this one was so different. A world where we know vampires exist and we not only live among them but we have a treaty where we work together...of course that is until someone breaks the treaty...hmmmm....and then the love story...or the love triangle I should say..The charachters are just fabulous...Alot of people compare vampire novels to Twilight but I will say this has a totally different feel to it..It was a quick read but a great one....\this book had turns and twists that you never see coming...When I finished it I hurriedly looked up the sequel on goodreads to see when it would arrive!! Yeah, it was that good....I loved it and cant wait to read the next one!!!
